Meet Me

Principal artist Stacey Weinstein founded Once Upon A Bride in 1999, after perfecting her art for more than a decade at top New York salons and as a hairstylist in film and television.

In 2014, she was nominated for a daytime Emmy for “Outstanding Achievement for Hairstyling” for her work on the chat show Bethenny. As Bethenny’s personal stylist, Stacey appeared on the hit Bravo TV series Bethenny Ever After, and she created Bethenny’s elegant and natural look for her wedding to Jason Hoppy at the Four Seasons. Stacey’s celebrity weddings include those of Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Levin, New York Jets’ star D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Kirsten Speller, and Tony-Award-winning choreographer Kathleen Marshall and Broadway producer Scott Landis.

Stacey has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, David Tutera’s My Fair Wedding, The Knot LIVE, and the Lifetime TV show Get Married. When Brides magazine assembled a Dream Team of wedding pros—including Tyler Florence, David Tutera, and Sylvia Weinstock—it was Stacey they called upon as their beauty expert. She was a popular contributor to InStyle Weddings magazine and has been featured in New York magazine’s Weddings. Stacey has styled cover shoots for People, Glamour, and Forbes.

She was the hairstylist on The View, worked on All My Children, Saturday Night Live, Another World, and CBS News, and has styled countless celebrities, including Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Jane Pauley, and Annabella Sciorra.

Once Upon a Bride is based at Stacey’s full-service salon Loft 26, which boasts some of New York City’s most talented and creative hair stylists and colorists.
